My roommates and I are on spring break right now, and we are taking a trip down to the dunes, leaving tomorrow and coming back sat/sundayish.

I wanted to pull together a list of offroad trails for us to run if we feel like it, but I am having some trouble finding any.

Do you guys know of some trails that have good scenery, but are more than just a dirt road? My roomie just got a '76 scout and it just has bfg at's, nothing else, and he wants to take it offroad some.

Any help you guys can give would be awesome. Thanks!

I live in Alamosa. There is Medano pass(right behind the sand dunes). Mt blanca(hard core) The rock quarry by monte vista. and a few others that I don't know where they are at(mosca pass and I think its called mosquito pass)

The passes over the Sangres (Medano and Hayden) are probably impassable and Blanca is a likely death trap this time of year. The closest trail I can think of that would be runnable but still challenging is Old Chinaman's near BV. Old Chinaman's isn't close to Alamosa, but would be easy to hit on your way there.

Make sure you take a camera. If the weather is good the views should be breathtaking.
