Should I retain the coil springs at both ends or just one?
I was thinking both may be a good thing. In those off camber situations It may be better. I noticed there is none in the rear. Doing a long arm conversion on rear. Coil up front.

On my front they are retained on both ends. The rear one the bottom only. However, everyone has a little different setup on the rear longarm package.

Cool thanks,
I also worried about them just falling out. I have seen that allot of jeeps and Nissans drop there coils.
Is it OK to retain them if the stretch a few inches? I dont want to distort or damage the springs.

I've thought about it and really don't see any advantage on retaining both ends. I ended up removing my upper retainer and i like it much better. My springs compress to 11" (50%) and they seem to be still good.

OK cool. I just need to build a tube so the dont slip out if they uncompress.
My brackets came with nice lower retainers.
