That's right... from Canada! :beermug:

Some of you will recognize my name, or the truck... I'm on all the other Nissan www's (I think).... but I like sharing my truck. As you can see, I've been registered since 07 but this is only my 2nd post.

Anyway, here goes, truck intro:

Bought in 08 as a roll over:

Decided it wasn't worth fixing the cab, so I bought a donor body from a friend ($500, frame was rusted). Figured it was faster and better in the long run to swap cabs. It would also give me a chance to refurbish the frame.

So after the cab was dropped on, I was kinda diggin' the no bed look. I made the decision to give the stock box to another friend and build myself a flatdeck.

This deck was just to give an idea^

Got some new shoes:

Went for the first wheelin weekend:

I was totally amazed how well the little nissan climbed the mountains. Had to be over 7000ft elevation, drove in snow in July. PS, I had no 4LO... I was in a rush to leave for the trip and forgot to do a check of everything. 4LO couldnt be engaged due to the body lift. :o The truck gained alot of respect that weekend and it still has it's picture framed in our shops office!

After that trip it got parked while I went to school for a bit and for the winter. The next summer (09) I got to work on the tube bed:

I went on another small trip and it performed well... but not great. That alone convinced me to go solid. Thought of D44 and 9 inch combo but found a cheap rear D60 and figured I'd find a matching front D60:

Axle rebuilds:

So truck specs as of now:

91 Nissan Hardbody D21 cab
3.0L V6, 4spd automatic

95 Nissan ex cab frame, redone, stripped and painted with POR15 and topcoated chassis black

ARB OME rear lift springs from RR
Calmini lift shackles
Calmini UCArms
Sway a Way torsions
Calmini HD steering
AC braided stainless brake lines at all corners

15x10 Summit 50/51 alloys (awesome wheels) huge offset
33x12.5R15 Dick Cepek mud country tires

Custom exhaust from y pipe back (catless) magnaflow muffler and summit resonator. Love how quiet it is.

2" custom bodylift
Modified Trailgear sliders tied into:

Custom tubebed built by hand (with bender ;) ) with hinged tailgate and polished aluminum checkerplate fender tops. Still needs a floor cut. I have some 1/4" plate that Im gonna use but Im not looking forward to dragging it out! haha

So that's where it is right now. The rear axle is built, aside from spring perches and final paint (dont worry, its going flat black, the yellow is just primer!)

I tore down the front axle couple weeks ago and am waiting for parts. This month I will be bringing my truck down to the shop and installing the front axle. Im leaving the axle gutted until I get my springs in for easier mockup. I'll feel alot better doing it this way, once the springs are hung and diff is under, it's mostly the little things left.

Now, SAS specs are:

Front axle.

88.5-91.5 F350 Dana 60 high pinion.
35 spline inners/outers
Warn premium hubs
5.38 gearset
OX locker, cable operated
CTMs
1350 yoke
stock disc brakes (new parts obv)

SOA, 36.5 spring span width
Davez Performance 47.5" x 2.5" springs (Toyota)
Ruffstuff shackle and spring hangars (under frame for now)
Custom front spring hangar
Steering box relocated forward
Toyota pitman
Custom highsteer, DOM+TREs
NWF highsteer arms (awesome!)
Reid knuckles
Shock hoops
Some kind of shocks

Rear axle.

78 F250 Dana 60
Bored spindles to 1.56 (holesaw method)
35 spline yukon shafts
5.38 gearset
Detroit locker
1350 yoke
Ruffstuff disc brake conversion brackets, 3/4T chev disc brakes
Ruffstuff 3/8 HD diff cover
Drilled and tapped pig for breather

SOA, undecided spring span
Springs... TBD. Chevy 56" are looking like my best option
Ruffstuff spring and shackle hangars
Some kind of shocks

So once those are under the truck, I still have more planned:
Dana 300 doubler package. D300 wth a pinion brake behind the TX10. Stock gears.

MC upgrade for the 1 ton brakes.

Finish off the bed. Still needs a floor and a rear main hoop. Possibly a removeable canvas top in the future. Will be painted flat black.

Custom interior. Suspension seats. Aluminum center console. Perhaps a alu dash if I have enough ambition left. 3/4 doors, shaved door panels. Convert to manual everything (locks handles windows).

RAD auto shift kit. Rail and rock shifters (hopefully this month!!!!)

Custom front tube bumper. Incorporated warn M8000. Im always drawn to Ryan's HB bumper

Finally...... paint. I have a color in mind that will look great on this truck with the flat black bed. Not giving anything away, but Im very excited about it.

Well... thanks for the interest. That took me 2 beers to write! :beermug:

Stay tuned for the updates.
