Around 12:30 am there was a very loud boom that shook the windows pretty good. I was about to fall asleep, & bang, it sounded like someone banged on all my windows. My cats took off to their hiding places like there was no tommorrow.
I went to the deck & saw a tall orange smoke column not to far away. I drove around to see how close it was. It turned out it was in a housing area on County Line Road East of Holly. The house fire was across the street from the NAPA on the north side of County Line on the other side of the sound wall.
I sure hope no one was in that house. You couldn't see the house over the sound wall, but you could see the houses on either side about halfway up the 1st floor. The siding of the other houses were charred but not burning.
I used mapsource to see how far away it was, ~0.4 miles as the crow flies.
