Anyone know the best place to procure one? The wife decided to back out of the garage before waiting till the door was all the way up and it ripped it off and dented the top of the lift gate.

LOL I'm not as bad off as Allen, I got a $7.00 refund from Fed, just had to pay state.

OH you used the word "Procure" just changed my train of thought.

I bet Nissan would have one for next to nothing.... I still have not seen any X's in the Junk yards.

Ha. That sounds sooo familiar. The same thing happened to me 1 month into ownership. Granted, the door did not go all the way up, so it wasn't entirely my fault.

I got a replacement at www.xterraparts.com for rather cheap.

I then buffed and waxed the scrapes and its hardly noticeable now.

Good luck!

The one junkyard that almost always has at least one X onsite is Western Salvage on N. Kearny. Unlike pull-n-save, they WILL tell you on the phone whether they've got a given vehicle, and sometimes even a given part off that vehicle. But they cost a lot more than pull-n-save (still cheaper than a dealer tho).
