The drivetrain is solid. It kills me that he's swapping in a chevy plant. It's just stupid.

I agree. That 4.0 has more power than anything in those years. He already put yota axles and honda seats.

I thought about buying one and modern izing it with D21 vg30,trans tcase h233b, dana 44 frt. D21 seats. Kind of like that patrol with a 84 toy engine, drivetrain, steering, axles etc in texas.

Im stuck between an fj40 and the patrol....I have had 40's in the past and know them top to bottom. What do you guys think 40 vs patrol?

i like fj's, and know them fairly well too, but i would probably get a p-troll just cuz they are more rare.
