painted wheels

hey guys i have been thinking about painting my stock wheels black wanted to know if any of you have done this or heard any good techniques about doing this

My wheels aren't the stockers, but they're aluminum and painted. I just used some steel wool to get off the rest of the clearcoat (it was flaking), sprayed on about 3 coats of primer, and then a couple coats of paint. The only paint I've had come off was where I curbed one of the wheels, and then where some of the clearcoat hadn't come off before and is coming off now. All in all, it was really worth it to me, as I like the black wheel look without the weight, since I have the 4banger and every little bit helps.

thanks... does anyone know if the stock xterra wheels have a clear coat i dont think they do but it would be good to know for sure

I am willing to bet they all do. Just to help em clean off easier.
