Anyone else see the high speed chase on I-70 on the way home?
This 70ish BMW pased me at about 100 near the top of the Tunnel climb. Then just after the tunnel it was pulled over in front of 3 troopers.
Then about MM 216 it came flying by me about 120, it almost lost it then because I was passing another car and it had to thread the gap. I changed lanes back and a trooper passed me about a 1/2 mile behind it. The trooper was not catching it.
Another trooper passed me about 2 minutes later. I figured I would be driving by an arrest in a few miles. The chase ended with a crash and Fire on the fall river bridge, thats about 20 miles. The fire was pretty big when I passed it.

"Troopers followed him for 20 miles before they put out stop sticks. The driver ran over the stop sticks, lost control and hit a guardrail"
Now the driver will make suit aginst the state for causing him to crash his car....
Oh I hate you all. going to Moab while I'm working away.
I will now just wait for all the pics and vids so I can get sick again :D
Thanks.

Ab and I made it home at around 7:45, left Moab at 11:30ish and stopped in Glenwood for some lunch. Good times even though most of my wheelin' time was spent wrenching :)

I got home at about 2:30. Great fun. Nice meeting all the non-xterra ronin folks there.
No pictures from me this year. Had the camera, but never felt like taking any.

I made it home about 3 AM today...I had a little further to go than you bastards. Long story short we got held up on the way out of Moab by some mechanics named Larry, Curly, and Moe...took them 5 hours to change out some lugs, lug nuts, and turn a rotor...Mark's brake pads had worn to metal and heated up his lugs and lug nuts so hot they basically welded together so there was no chance of getting his spare off and his good tire back on the truck without breaking all the lugs and lug nuts. Other than that the trip back was long and relatively uneventful.

Yeah, if you call paying $279 to watch some excruciatingly slow, ass backward podunk mechanics try to work on my shit, and then to have to install the pads myself ok, then I guess we made it home ok. The $126 ticket in Kansas was dandy as well.
Oh well, the Frontier is alive and kicking and I can't ask for more than that.

haha...yeah I didn't really tell anyone about you paying mechanics to work on your truck while you did half the work...funny stuff. (It's only funny to me because I wasn't the one paying. Those two did make for some funny stories though.)

I'm not as hot tempered as I used to be, so I'm not so pissed about it now. It is pretty damn funny.

This kid reminded me of the main character from Slingblade. I liked him though...he just needs a little more direction or something.
