Sorry i'm not on MXO more. :(
I don't get out much to wheel, that will
change soon SS ninja. My GF is switching

I couldn't go wheeling before due to her

Are those degreed? I think for stock, they're like 2° clams, but I know for the lifted ones, they're 4°. Just curious.

Boondox

For 4+ lift, they are 7 degree. The kit came with all the bushings for the radius arm, c, and trac bar.

LMAO!! Yes they are the stealth design, i'm going to
get a refund do to you seeing them!
Here is the rear set up of the X

Right now i have the AAL, going spring over, and adding
5in blocks till i get new leaf packs! Their is a shop where
i am from that makes custom packs. Oh ya a 3in BL on top of
that. I looking at 1.5+4+5+3= 13.5 of lift over stock!!!!
This may change due to the front set up. Changed coils
for 9in lift bronco coils.

It will take me a month longer to finish due to cost.
I'm thinking of the AllPro SAS tacoma kit. Price dropped

with our setup. Possible halfass SAS kit for the X.

tmorgan4

I was eying that All Pro kit a little while ago. Seems like a pretty good deal and you could use the majority of the parts. If for some reason the links interfered with other parts I'm sure you could return the kit.

I found a guy selling Sway-a-way coilovers for CHEAP compared to what I'd been seeing elsewhere. 2.0x14" coilovers with reservoir for $250 each.

Could also look at FOA shocks. New company with super cheap prices but they seem to be quality parts.

NissanNut
07-06-2007, 08:19 AM
I love that kit. That was my deciding factor on building a 3 link. I thought you were doing ford radius arms though. I would go coils for now. My coils were $120 a pair. Never going to beat that price with coilovers. I used adjustable buckets instead of adjustable coilovers.

Boondox

So all i do i sit at the comp or just think about how to

Ryan Gee

I think your front axle is from a 78-79 bronco... the short side axle tube is for the most part all cast. If you get a housing from an early 70's ford truck, they do not have that outer cast section on both sides. The axle tube size goes down to 2.75 from 3 inches, but you would not be welding to case steel.

This is from the early 70's ford trucks... 2.75 and thick!

Boondox
07-17-2007, 04:43 PM
Steering is mounted where it needs to be.
I do need to get 2 plates for the extra support
for the frame. I cut a body mount off thinking i needed
when i had uses of a torch. I'm thinking i didn't need to do it
But if the steering binds wheni test the flex i can always move
it forward a few inches.

Looks insane with those meats! You gonna run high steer on the pass knuckle? I might retrofit mine. I don't know if it'll make a difference but the stock inverted T setup inherently has play in it, and it gets worse with more angle in the drag link. Aside from unbalanced boggers, i think it's causing some of my death wobble.

Allen Cox
07-18-2007, 02:51 PM
Ouch, death wobble sucks!

We induce as much caster in the axles as possible to get rid of the death wobble. Dodges are so terrible about the DW.

theking
07-18-2007, 03:00 PM
I think it's more imbalance than anything, on the fact that one of my front wheels is over 40+ oz off balance.lol Drives smooth though between 35 and 65.

The turning radius could be better, could be of the huge tires.
I could take the body lift off and go with 35's or 36's or just buy new
wheels. What do u guys think?

bogof
11-06-2007, 10:51 PM
It really depends on if you like the tire size, but for me I would go for new rims.
You already put this much work into it why downgrade tires now?

Sully4x4

tmorgan4
11-08-2007, 05:47 PM
You're using radius arms up front, aren't you? That's one reallly nice feature built into the Cage arms I just sold. They've got a bend in them right where the tires would hit to give you a little more room to turn the wheels.

CurleyMan
11-08-2007, 06:08 PM

Find the rear nose cone with the sensor wheel for the 9", and then get the Dakota Digital -->here!<-- (http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=126/category_id=287/home_id=59/mode=prod/prd126.htm) and hook up both rear sensor lines (for the ABS on your Xterra) and then the speedo and odo (cruise control, volume sensitive stereo, etc.) will work correctly. The computer only needs to see the rear sensors inputing to make it all work.

And that all will work off any 1 sensor, like the nose cone sensor available for the Ford 9". I know Ryan Gee knows who makes that nose cone. He's sent me the link before. I have to dig it up. It's doable on a Saturday afternoon.
